Job Title: Assistant Editor – Part time (29 hrs/wk max)

Department: NOW Productions

Main Job Function:

The Assistant Editor will play a key role in supporting the Chief Editor with Video & Audio editing from researching to finding media for editing, ingesting media, working with transcripts and completing process flow documentation. The Assistant Editor will be working with both Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro video editing software and may work with Adobe After Effects from time to time. The Assistant Editor will interface with Audio Post Production when audio requires EQ’ing/cleanup and be closely involved in project tracking and status. The Assistant Editor’s role will likely expand/change over time as processes and technologies evolve, therefore flexibility is key.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research & identify candidate media for review, ingestion & editing
  • Create media lists using/from NOW Database
  • Pull media from the vault (& return media to vault)
  • Ingest video tape and LTO media into projects
  • Manage flow of projects within NOW Project Tracking Tool
  • Participate in weekly Post Production Meetings as needed
  • Create project structure/project file/and project worksheet for projects
  • Edit media as directed by Chief Editor
  • Create audio/video clip(s), when necessary, for EQ’ing/cleanup at Mandeville & Integrate EQ’d clip(s) back into projects
  • Color correct, polish, and finalize projects
  • Design/Create slides for classes and events, as necessary
  • Design/Create special effects as necessary
  • Create write-ups and fill in documentation as necessary

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the organization including nights and weekends.
  • The employee will be required to sit and work at a computer work station
  • The employee must have the ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • The be able to drive to/from vaults and MSIA headquarters

Job Title: Customer Service – Part time (29/hrs a wk max)

Department: Products

Main Job Function:

This position provides support to our students, and also other departments in the MSIA family. The Customer Service Assistant will help us keep and maintain a friendly work environment by being open, in cooperation, and willing to work in other areas within our Service and Products Department. Customer Service takes orders for all MSIA study materials, subscriptions and products via phone, email, in person and through our Online Store; will also maintain our Database by updating student information. They also assist our students by providing technical support for digital downloads such as MP3s, MP4s and PDF files from our Online Store.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service via phone, email or in person to our students, mainly to our Spanish speaking community
  • Maintain and update the students records in our Database
  • Provide technical support for digital downloads:  MP3s, Mp4s and PDF files from our Online Store
  • Process orders daily
  • Support Customers with seeding, tithing and MSIA services
  • Handle account activations for Ministers prior to Ministers Meetings
  • Support customers with Payment plans for their subscriptions, if necessary
  • Familiar with Desktop platforms, iOS and/or Android Operating Systems, Excel and Data entry, how to sync phones, use Dropbox, App Store, iTunes
  • Track status of orders
  • Troubleshoot with customers on the phone while they are in front of the computer or on their smart phone
  • Create and maintain customer service email templates up to date
  • Execute anything else the manager of the department assigns in order to support MSIA needs
